Today we are up early to meet at Mark and Terry's for breakfast. Mark and Maggie are back from a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with sunburns and very tired. Maggie had plenty of pictures of really cute kids there and the buildings they constructed for them. We loaded up the cars and truck with all of Grandmother's possessions and went to buy a tv and a box spring and mattress. It took a while to get everything accomplished, but everything turned out fine. We were able to ride with Maggie driving Terry's new Honda Pilot. It is a really nice car. I needed to wash some clothes at Terry's and Mark's because we needed them for Montana.
Back at the RV we had to pack for Montana and get the RV ready to move it to the parking lot to stay while we are in Montana. Tomorrow we wake up at 3 AM to drive to Dulles to park the car then take a taxi to Reagan to fly out at 8:30 AM.

We drove to Perry Hall to Linda's house to pick up Marie to visit Uncle Louie at ST. Joseph's Hospital in Towson, Md. He went in the ER yesterday; he hasn't been feeling well and has lost 25 pounds. They found lesions in his pancreas that are cancerous and have spread to his liver. He is the baby in the family at only 82 years of age; but he had a pretty bad stroke in October when we were here last. He has gotten so frail, much more than NaNa. We took Marie to eat at Popeye's, then drove her home. Linda had a copy of our family tree on the table for me. It goes back pretty far.
Tonight we met with Auntie Karen and her husband, Gary Knights. They live where it used to be a pasture for horses above 97 on a high hill. It is very windy at the top and it is still cold here. I believe it has been in the upper 30s and lower 40s at night, which is really good sleeping weather. It is a good thing we didn't bring Greta up here and to fly to Montana. She isn't used to cold weather.
It was fun to spend time with Karen again and find out all that has occurred with her kids. Dawn has 2 girls and 1 boy: Natalie, , and Frank. Richie has a little girl who is close in age to Sofia called , and is the spitting image of Richie. Jason lives in Alexandria, Va, has 2 kids: Caitlyn and. And one on the way at the end of May. They have all been very successful with good jobs and wonderful families. Gary has 5 children; so there are many grandchildren. We ate at Olive Garden.

It was good sleeping weather last night: cool and crisp! It is still cloudy and raining and has been for 2 days now. We should reach the RV park in Woodbine, Md by 12:30 today.
12:32PM we pulled into the RV park and they had the slip ready for us. These are really nice here because they are pull-thru slots. on ewe poked up to the local water, sewage, electric and cable we could take our showers and get ready to visit Grandmother. She is to sign her lease with the apartment today. We will only move small things in today and the heavy stuff on Sunday when we have the help of Mark, Chris and Matt and Mark's truck. We took Grandmother to BJs and Target to find a microwave that's small enough for her small kitchen.
Her apartment is really nice. It has a kitchen with plenty of cabinets, a living room, large bedroom and really large bathroom. They replaced the carpet, counters and appliances from the previous occupant. She has a big sliding glass door in her living room where she can see all of the apartment complex. A nosy lady living there told us we parked in the wrong spot, Daddy said Grandmother needs to be the new "mayor" once she's moved in.
Yesterday was Aunt Rosie's birthday, so we stopped by and gave her a card and some flowers. She really enjoyed the visit and reminisced about her younger days in Carroll county. It was really interesting.
We took Grandmother to the Forbidden City Chinese restaurant for dinner where we always have leftovers. Grandmother has hers and my leftovers for her next meal in the new apartment. While we were there, Patrick called Daddy and gave him the information on the guy who bought our boat. then Daddy forgot his phone and left it at the restaurant.
Tomorrow morning we will go to visit Marie and take her to see Uncle Louie in ST. Josephs Hospital. but we can sleep in first.

Thursday, March 31st, 2011.

8:31AM We left ST. Johns, Florida to travel to Md in our RV to help Grandmother move from Uncle Mark's to a small apartment. It started raining last night and is still raining now and on our drive north. Halfway through Georgia on I 95 we noticed it had cooled considerably, but was still raining. There seems to be a large amount of traffic heading north. You would think most people would travel south to warm up from the cold winter. I can't imagine this many snowbirds heading north already.
Dinner was in between lunch time and dinner time at a Cracker Barrel and it was delicious. It is still cold and raining. We spent the night on a WalMart parking lot in Roanoke Rapids, NC. there must have been at least 20 RVs parked there. We ate at the McDonalds inside WalMart just before they closed. daddy ordered a cheeseburger with fries and I ate an oatmeal.
We wanted to drive as far as Richmond, Va, but with the traffic and rain, this was as close as we could get.
